Retelling fashion for Harrods and the NSPCC

A special charity pop-up organised by Harrods in aid of the NSPCC has been supported by floor and wall graphics from PressOn.

Harrods launches its Fashion Re-Told pop-up to raise money for the NSPCC

Having already worked with the luxury department store on the same project in 2018 for the inaugural Fashion Re-Told event in Sloane Street, PressOn returned to supply graphics for this year’s pop-up.

This year, PressOn was tasked with reimagining the parameters of a charity store in Marylebone in London, by replicating the luxury shopping experience Harrods is renowned for.

“Harrods is synonymous with luxury retail and with Fashion Re-Told, our ambition is to change the public’s perception of charitable shopping by offering a Harrods level shopping experience,” says Alexander Wells Greco, creative visual director at Harrods.

“PressOn have helped us to deliver a store which is truly unique, and which has captured the imagination of all the shoppers who have visited so far.”

The charity pop-up store offers a curated edit of new and pre-loved designer womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories donated by British and international designers. The money from each item sold will go to towards the NSPCC’s services in the capital.

By using four different substrates across the walls, floors, lift doors and tension fabrics frame systems, PressOn created one repeating, seamless visual effect.

The firm utilised its new HP R2000 series latex printer, which it took delivery of in April, as well as the HP LX3600 and the GMG colour management system to ensure consistency of colour across the whole design.

“Supporting Harrods and the NSPCC for Fashion Re-told 2019 was a great honour for us at PressOn and we’re very proud of the finished result. Seeing the transformation of an empty shell to this stunning store using printed graphics has been amazing,” says Shannell Davies, senior project manager at PressOn.

Fashion Re-Told is open until June 2nd, at 51 Marylebone High Street in London.
