Queen’s College history celebrated with timeline
In order to tell the story of 675-year-old The Queen’s College, part of the University of Oxford, an 11 x 2.5m atmospheric lightbox display has been produced.

The Queens College’s history has been celebrated with a modern, bespoke timeline
The bespoke timeline was supplied by Leach, which carried out the design, production, and installation of the display. It was then revealed in the college’s front quad cloisters at an anniversary gala for members and their families.
Anna Thorne, director of development at the college, says: “As I was making plans for our celebratory event, I saw that Leach was also celebrating a milestone this year – it’s 125th birthday.
“Add to that the fact that managing director Richard Leach is an Old Member of the College and there seemed no better company to bring our 675-year-old tale to life.”

“The juxtaposition of ancient architecture, with beautiful, innovative display technology was stunning. It was bound to capture attention due to the sheer scale of the installation, but the fact that it was carefully illuminated made it a real showstopper.”
The display conveys the journey of the college from 1341 to the present day, and was designed and installed in just one week by a two-man team from Leach in 90 minutes.
