In the final episode of the last series, presenter Chris Evans, who has since left the show, put an MG Abingdon Edition through its paces, later labelling it as his favourite car of the series. The classic two seater MGB Roadster was re-imagined and re-engineered by Frontline to create the MG Abingdon Edition.

However, what Evans may not have known is that Brunel Engraving also played a role in the final look of the car, carrying out the finishing touches by engraving unique sill plates to identify the restorers and the individuality of the model.

Martyn Wright, managing director of Brunel Engraving, comments: “Our skilled engravers are trained to follow very exact specifications. A high degree of precision and attention to detail was required in the preparation of the plates for the MG Abingdon Edition to reflect the quality of the restoration.

We are proud to have been involved in this prestigious project and to have added some fine detail to this wonderful vehicle which has received such high acclaim

“We are proud to have been involved in this prestigious project and to have added some fine detail to this wonderful vehicle which has received such high acclaim.”

Ed Braclik, sales director for Frontline Developments, adds: “We have been using Brunel for many years to produce our detailed engraved parts on all of our cars. This has enabled us to offer an even more bespoke service to our customers whilst maintaining, if not increasing the quality of the final detail.”
