Hollywood wins another blockbuster

One of the UK’s fastest growing sign-making companies, Hollywood Monster, has revealed that it is behind the gargantuan Star Wars mural that currently sits centre stage at Cineworld’s Birmingham Broad Street outlet.

Hollywood Monster had to use interior scaffolding to put up the super-sized Star Wars- The Force Awakens mural

The commission for The Force Awakens film was printed on Hollywood’s EFI Vutek H2000 Pro on Utack media from CMYUK. The firm’s director, Simon McKenzie explained how using the technology combination helped win them the contract: “Utack media was perfect for this installation, being easy to install as it sticks directly to the wall with no frame needed, and it will have no problem staying up for the average six weeks it will be needed for.”

He continues: “The graphics look absolutely stunning, thanks to the high resolution print and Ultradrop technology offered by the VUTEk H2000 combined with the water resistant surface of the Utack.

“The textile will also be easy to remove when the cinema needs to make a change as it comes off easily and leaves no residue to deal with.”

In order to install the mammoth interior graphic, the Hollywood Monster team had to use scaffolding and hang the two-part graphic in a series of nine 4.6 x 1.3m strips.

The project is the latest in a series of high-profile contract wins for Hollywood Monster, which has differentiated itself in a highly-competitive region by offering a one-stop-shop design, production, installation, and maintenance service.

CMYUK produced a time-lapse video of the installation
