Soyang Europe has added the Vivid Veloblade Nexus 3016 flatbed cutter to its new showroom, which will provide live finishing demonstrations at Soyang’s Altham facility from early 2027

Soyang Europe, a manufacturer and distributor of wide-format and superwide-format media, has invested in a Veloblade Nexus 3016 from Vivid Laminating Technologies for its new showroom in Altham, Lancashire.
Scheduled to become fully operational in early 2027, the showroom at Soyang Europe’s headquarters will enable customers to see a range of print production and finishing technologies in action, alongside expert guidance from Soyang’s hardware team.
Several machines have already been confirmed and are being installed at the site including the new Platinum Technologies LIYU Signature Hybrid, the Platinum KCXL+ flatbed UV printer, and the Platinum PCT LED roll-to-roll device.
The investment in the VeloBlade Nexus 3016, which was finalised at The Print Show 2026, expands the hardware showcase into finishing applications.
The VeloBlade Nexus 3016 has a 3,000mm x 1,600mm working bed and incorporates a digital die-cutting multi-tool system for processing a wide range of substrates including corrugated board, foam PVC, MDF, acrylic, and Dibond.
The Nexus 3016 also features a CNC router capable of cutting to depths of up to 25mm, a CCD camera registration system, and the ability to cut, crease, and perforate in a single pass.
Mark Mashiter, chief executive officer of Soyang Europe, says: “We’re delighted to be adding the Veloblade Nexus 3016 to the new showroom, which is now just months away from being fully operational. We already know how good this machine is and having the ability to offer live demos in-house will allow customers to see first-hand what is possible with the cutter.
“The combination of the VeloBlade with the Platinum Technologies printers gives us a strong print and finishing proposition under one roof. It means customers can explore different production technologies, see them working together, and discuss the best approach for their individual requirements.”
Speaking about the aims of the showroom in more detail, Mashiter adds: “That hands-on experience is exactly what we want the showroom to provide, giving customers the opportunity to explore the technology and understand how it could work within their own production environment. Soyang will become the place to go for print and finishing solutions.”
The new showroom enhancement is the latest in a string of announcements from Soyang Europe, including the hiring of Andy Webb as the new commercial director of its hardware division and the promotion of Damien Martin from sales manager to wide-format manager for the UK and Ireland.
The company announced a new dedicated showroom focused on Platinum Technologies LIYU print solutions in August, following its appointment in May as the official distributor of LIYU solutions in England, Scotland, and Wales.
