Innotech expects its output to grow to 21,000 superwide reels by the end of the year

Innotech Digital has completed a significant investment in its warehouse operations at its Leicester headquarters.

The warehouse redesign includes a new 30m x 12m racking area dedicated to storing 3.2m and 5m digital media reels. Space has been made for an additional 1,000 reels to be accommodated.

The investment also includes the purchase of a specialist Linde R20 Reach Truck with a fixed boom, designed for faster processing of wide-format and superwide-format reels.

As well as increasing overall racking capacity, ensuring better stock control, and improving operational efficiency, the investment has been undertaken to prepare the company for future growth and demand.

Operations manager for Innotech, Hitesh Bhundia, says: “The upgrade to our warehouse improves batch control, stock management, and accessibility, as well as overall operational efficiency. The increased space and better design, as well as the significant investment in technology, supports our growth and our customer service goals.

“Last year, we shipped 17,000 rolls of superwide-format media. With this investment in our warehouse, we expect this to grow to 21,000 by the end of the year. This investment has significantly improved our service and supply to customers in the UK, Europe, and beyond.”

At The Print Show in September, Innotech collaborated with wide-format printing company Agfa. Agfa unveiled its new Anapurna Ciervo 3.2m wide hybrid machine to the UK market and Innotech media was used to demonstrate the machine’s print quality.

In July the company was appointed the exclusive distributor for General Formulations products in the UK. The range of vinyl products distributed by the US-based manufacturer include its RoughMark vinyl designed for rough surfaces, WallMark canvas for wall applications, and its Optimark product for window applications.

Innotech also announced a collaboration with print manufacturer, Durst, in July. A collection of seven products based on designs from illustrator and designer Charlotte Jade, were printed on the Durst P5 350/HS UV printer and the P5 TEX iSUB dye-sublimation printer. The designs were used for applications including PVC banners, display textiles, and wall fabrics.
