Following a showcase at FESPA Global Print Expo, Kornit Digital has begun the commercial rollout of its Atlas MATRIX platform, which allows for printing on polyester, blends, and sublimated fabrics

Kornit Digital, a manufacturer of on-demand digital fashion and textile production technologies, has begun the commercial rollout of its Atlas MATRIX platform following the completion of a global beta program across production environments in Europe and North America.
Atlas MATRIX expands the capabilities of Kornit’s existing Atlas MAX PLUS platform into polyester, blends, and sublimated fabrics, enabling customers to produce textile prints across a wider range of fabric types.
The release was touted by Kornit as a “major milestone in the evolution of digital apparel production.” The platform allows producers to transition between cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics in a single workflow, expanding application opportunities while simplifying operations.
Atlas MATRIX also introduces Kornit’s proprietary Karbon Shield process, which is designed to enable direct decoration on polyester and sublimated garments while eliminating the dye migration challenges that have historically limited digital production capabilities.
The initial announcement of the Atlas MATRIX platform’s commercial availability was made ahead of FESPA 2026 in Barcelona, with live demonstrations taking place during the exhibition. Atlas MATRIX was also recently showcased at Kornit’s own Konnections 2026 event.
The system has already been validated through production tests with multiple global Kornit customers across Europe and North America. According to the company, early adopters reported “exceptional print quality, superior hand feel, operational simplification, and the ability to unlock entirely new categories of business.”
Frederik Huhn, director of global fulfilment at early adopter, Spread Group, says: “We are already shifting meaningful polyester production volumes to Atlas MATRIX.
“We are particularly impressed with the possibility of direct printing on dye sublimated shirts, allowing us to decorate these highly visible and important but tricky items in a single step with the highest quality. The Atlas MATRIX will allow us to capture opportunities that were not accessible before."
Spread Group is the umbrella brand of five internationally active ecommerce platforms including Spreadshirt, Teamshirts, and Berlin Textil. The group heavily emphasises sustainable digital fashion solutions that minimise textile waste by printing strictly on-demand.
Rodney McDonald, president of apparel decoration and promotional products provider, US Colorworks, adds: “Atlas MATRIX significantly expands what we can offer customers while simplifying production. The quality, feel, and versatility we are seeing are extremely impressive.”
Discussing the benefits of the new platform, Ronen Samuel, chief executive officer of Kornit Digital, says: “Atlas MATRIX represents a major step forward for the industry, enabling our customers to expand into new applications, simplify production, and accelerate the transition to digital manufacturing at scale.
“The early feedback and production results we are seeing from customers are extremely encouraging. We have already generated a strong backlog of upgrade demand from our existing install base, alongside new system demand from both existing and new customers, further validating the market opportunity and excitement around the platform.”
The Atlas MATRIX platform and its specific consumables are officially distributed and supported in the UK through Amaya Sales UK. UK buyers can also engage directly with the manufacturer via Kornit Digital Europe to arrange corporate accounts or discuss large fleet integrations.
