Kornit has purchased software and workflow solutions provider, PrintFactory, as part of its goal to accelerate the digital transformation of the textile industry

Kornit Digital has announced its acquisition of PrintFactory, a Netherlands-based producer of workflow, colour management, and production automation software.
For Kornit, a manufacturer of sustainable, digital fashion and textile print solutions, the acquisition represents a strategic step in its mission to accelerate the digital transformation of the global fashion and textile industry.
By integrating PrintFactory’s automation capabilities into its platform, Kornit is aiming to strengthen its ability to connect demand generation, production workflow, and fulfilment into one continuous digital ecosystem.
PrintFactory’s platform can enable unified production workflow management and consistent output across mixed technology environments, allowing producers to operate with more predictable results regardless of the technologies deployed on the production floor.
PrintFactory is currently deployed across production sites worldwide, supporting over 3,500 different models of printing and cutting devices.
Ronen Samuel, chief executive officer of Kornit Digital, says: “This acquisition is about more than workflow or colour management – it is about building the digital infrastructure the fashion industry needs to move from analogue production to agile, on-demand manufacturing.
“By connecting demand generation, production workflow, and manufacturing through one integrated platform, we are accelerating the industry’s transition to a new production model.”
Erik Strik, chief executive officer of PrintFactory, adds: “For more than three decades, PrintFactory has focused on solving real workflow and production challenges for professional print operations.
“Joining Kornit opens an exciting new chapter. Kornit’s global reach, innovation culture, and platform vision will accelerate our roadmap and significantly expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”
Kornit also recently unveiled its Atlas MATRIX direct-to-garment (DTG) printer, a unified digital production system with full flexibility across cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics.
At the core of the Atlas MATRIX is Kornit’s proprietary Karbon Shield technology, a breakthrough protection layer preventing dye migration even on deep-dyed and sublimated polyester fabrics.
Karbon Shield is designed to enable consistent, vibrant, and durable results in a true single-step process, without complex setups or manual intervention, while maintaining a soft hand feel that meets retail standards.
