The 1.8m ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid 1800 UV press will now be distributed by its official UK distributor, QPS, addressing demand for compact hybrid print solutions

Wide-format print kit supplier, Quality Print Services (QPS), has announced the availability of the Vulcan Hybrid 1800, a new-generation UV hybrid printer from manufacturer, ColorJet.
QPS is the official distributor for ColorJet’s UV flatbed and soft signage printers in the UK, with the Vulcan Hybrid 1800 marking the latest addition to the range.
With a maximum print width of 1.8m, the ColorJet Vulcan 1800 is engineered to address the rising demand for compact, versatile, and application-driven UV printing solutions. The new machine can print at speeds of up to 45sq m/hr in high production three-row CMYK mode.
The Vulcan Hybrid 1800 is based around an advanced conveyor belt module designed to ensure smooth and stable handling of both flexible media and lightweight rigid boards up to 20mm thick.
Additional features of the press include an ink level sensor to alert users to low ink ahead of time and on-board anti-crash and anti-static systems.
In addition, the machine uses UV ink that is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meeting strict low-VOC emission standards and therefore making it suitable for sensitive indoor environments such as offices, schools, and healthcare settings.
Chris Bailey, managing director of QPS, says: “We’re delighted to introduce another first-class ColorJet printer to our existing portfolio.
“It’s the perfect solution for print service providers (PSPs) seeking a compact UV hybrid printer that combines maximum flexibility with speed and high-quality output. With the addition of the Vulcan Hybrid 1800, we now offer one of the widest ranges of UV printers in the UK.”
The QPS ColorJet range spans a variety of potential applications and sectors. Solutions on display at QPS’ stand during The Print Show 2025 included the Verve 2513R, which can run speeds of up to 91sq m/hr and produce print at a maximum resolution of 1200dpi. Also on offer was the Vulcan 2001R, which boasts a top speed of 73sq m/hr and runs the Ricoh Gen 6 printhead.
Other highlights included the Verve Mini, a small-format LED UV curing flatbed printer with a bed size of 1,050mm x 1,650mm.
Based from its main facility in Lancashire, QPS also supplies a range of solutions from print manufacturers, including a selection of Roland wide-format printers and the Q Series of direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) presses.
