The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff is an opera, ballet and concert venue in Cardiff Bay. Its grand structure provided the perfect backdrop for a graphic thanking NHS workers.

Christian Williams is the group operations director at Semaphore and worked on the job himself – he printed the graphics using a Roland TrueVIS VG-640 using a print and cut programme. He then used a GU370 Ultra Gloss Laminate to finish.  Premier Paper supported the installation by donating stocks of Rijet 100 in a gloss white finish and removable adhesive. Rijet 100 is a selection of 100-micron, monomeric digital print vinyl, available in several finishes.

Williams comments: “This is a very difficult and unprecedented time for everyone, and we wanted to show our gratitude to the people who are risking their lives to help others. We are extremely proud to work with our long-standing client, The Wales Millennium Centre. Donating a more personal and special message to take pride of place at the Entrance of their landmark building.”

He continues: “We discussed this with our long-standing client and decided to progress the project supporting our client with the design, production and installation of the graphics free of charge. I contacted Brad from the Premier Display Graphics team, who we have worked with for a number of years for support with the cost of the material and he supplied free of charge.”

Brad West, Display Graphics business development manager at Premier, adds: “These are unprecedented times and our NHS staff are doing an amazing job. We’re proud to be able to show our support in any way that we can.”
