Textile and interior opportunities in abundance

It seems that the opportunities in retail, décor and home interiors show no sign of depleting, with one Cardiff-based company opting to diversify with a recent investment from Durst.

3 Sixty already employs 31 people with a current turnover of £3.1m, but with the installation of a Durst Rhotex 325 and P10 250 HS Plus hybrid system, it believes this will increase to £4m.

Richard Inkin, managing director of 3 Sixty, explains: “We spent a huge amount of time and effort understanding all technologies available but after visiting the two Durst factories in Lienz, Austria and Brixen, northern Italy, we began to understand that Durst produces more than just a manufacturing machine, they are precision engineered. Durst has been an extremely supportive company, delivering on time and helping us through the transition.”

In terms of moving into the home interior, exhibition and events sectors, Inkin continues: “We’ve come a long way since our inception. This current investment in both super-wide UV and dye sublimation machines completes our three-year purchase strategy. We now have the fire power and diversity of machinery to grow both our client base and the numerous sectors we work in. The increased capacity will also add value to our national installation service.

“Audit, print and installation are at the heart of our business. Sometimes it’s just audit, sometimes just print other times just install – but at least a third of our work combines two or three elements. We work closely with clients to deliver high quality graphic projects on time and in budget, printing on a vast array of materials across every conceivable marketplace. These include retail, events, hospitality, leisure and manufacturing sectors, as well as the contract and domestic interiors market.”

Peter Bray, managing director of Durst UK and Ireland, adds: “When customers such as 3 Sixty invest in our systems and benefit from a personal visit to our production plants in Lienz and Brixen, they are also buying into the Durst ethos and world-class expertise that gives the m confidence to expand their business into new markets. We’re extremely proud that our systems are the catalyst to help them grow.”

Bray concludes: “The Durst P10 dramatically ramps up capacity and quality and takes 3 Sixty on to a completely different level, while the Rhotex 325 will help Richard and his team to expand into new markets.”
