Selectronic LED applications are only limited by your imagination

In Oxfordshire, Selectronic create LED displays for shopping malls, video walls, messaging units and information points for sports and leisure centres.

The firm says that applications are limited only by our imaginations says the firm’s managing director Kevin Dry. He comments: “One enquiry we have is for a wall display in a London tourist attraction. The fact that our product is flexible and tile shape means they can be used in a variety of applications, large or small. But we offer more than that with great design, an experienced and knowledgable back-up team, and expert customer service.”

The Selectronic floor LED display incorporates fast lock installation and dismantling which completely overthrows the traditional positioning pin, and a flat handle to ensure the flatness of the floor screen. The cabinet size is 500x500x65mm with a weight of 7.5kg and average consumption of 300W. And with 30 years of experience in the field the firm are an established name in the industry and are always happy to discuss a good deal this summer.

In Kent APA market a range of Italian made films for the industry with two new lines announced this season. The self-adhesive films are AP/610-FC (gloss white) and AP/618-FC (matt white), which the firms says are ‘two brand new films combining innovation and leading-edge technology.’

APA describe the ‘all-in-one’ digital printing products as featuring ‘high conformability, superior stability and excellent covering power, ideal for the most diverse applications to smooth, corrugated and shaped surfaces.’ Designed to ensure extreme ease of application, the two films feature the special ‘air free FTX System’ adhesive that favours air ejection upon application through micro-channels. And the films have excellent print capability say APA vivid colours even on dark backgrounds while both films are certified for reaction to fire (B-S2-D0 class).  APA also has two new laminations, L/111-KS (gloss) and L/118-KS (matt), specifically devised for protecting the two new films from UV rays, scratches and small abrasions. It could be a case of a white-hot season of Italian films.

It’s been a sunny and dry summer for most and to reflect the weather Cheshire based Hybrid Services has announced some summer promotions on the range of Mimaki printers and printer/cutters that they distribute.

They say in their announcement: “Heading up the promotional heatwave is a price reduction on the Mimaki UJV55-320, saving investors £6,000 as the RRP drops to a highly competitive £59,995 with a free second year gold warranty.”

Hybrid’s Brett Newman says: “The UJV55-320 has been a game changing product for the market as it brings super-wide roll-to-roll UV printing within reach of many sign-makers with its competitive pricing. This is a great opportunity for businesses to diversify into super-wide printing and is ideal for printing onto textiles with UV inks, especially backlit signage, with an extra year’s warranty giving further peace of mind.”

The Mimaki UJF MkII range is also subject to an offer. “We’re inviting print providers to trade in any solvent, latex or UV machine and receive between £2,000 and £6,000 along with having their new UJF delivered for free,” says Newman.  And there’s a £2,000 cashback when investing in a 1.3m or 1.6m JV150 printer or CJV150 printer/cutter offer from the firm. Plus anyone who buys a 1.3m or 1.6m JV300 printer or CJV300 printer/cutter they will receive a free Mimaki LA-160 laminator worth £4,995.

In a summer that has seen temperatures soar it’s good to see some numbers drop, as in the words of a popular supermarket chain, every little helps. And with interest rates on the up, sign-makers appreciate any special offers.
