Pinetree Enterprises’ Martyn Kiddey says investing in their own machinery enhances their capabilities

Pinetree has established itself as not only a major supplier of display equipment in the UK, but also a company comfortable producing its work at home, rather than abroad.

Kiddey says that while wider events around the world—such as Brexit and Donald Trump’s triumphant presidential campaign in the US—the company will continue to operate as normal, safe in the knowledge that it has complete control over production.

“Pinetree Enterprises decided many years ago to invest in our own machinery to enhance our on-site manufacturing capabilities,” Kiddey says, adding: “That investment has proved to be one of the best decisions we have made, alongside trying to use local suppliers for the few things we can’t do ourselves.
Invention has always been the British way and we are pleased that we have stuck to what we believe in

“Manufacturing ourselves means that we are able to reap the benefits of being able to adapt quickly, to produce bespoke products, to prototype and to respond to our customers’ ever more complex and ever more urgent needs. Our passion is designing and making display products, leading the way with our own ideas.”

Kiddey also serves as an apprenticeship ambassador in collaboration with East Hampshire District Council, and is keen to encourages youngsters to take up a career in the signs and graphics industry.

He adds: “Invention has always been the British way and we are pleased that we have stuck to what we believe in. What world events and the falling exchange rate have done is to give us a price advantage to go along with our manufacturing expertise.

“Customers always like to buy British, but value is usually still the most important factor in their purchasing decisions. Luckily, one need not be at the expense of the other.”
