The Print Show’s second year: Bigger and better
As The Print Show draws closer, the buzz around the event continues to heighten, as organisers seek to build on the success of the first year and go even further in its mission to support the UK industry. A fruitful first year almost makes this task a breeze, with exhibitors continuing to sign up and speak out about the decision.

OKI Systems UK will have an even bigger stand at this year’s show
Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) took a small stand in the IPIA
Village at The Print Show 2015, but has decided it wants a larger
presence this time around, to better accommodate its wide-ranging
portfolio.
Managing director Bryan Godwyn comments: “IFS is committed to supporting
operations of all sizes across the UK in creating efficient and cost
effective bindery operations. To that end, we have developed a broad
portfolio of systems from leading industry manufacturers such as
Horizon, Perfecta, Foliant, Durselen, Petratto, SCS and Tecnau.
Bryan Godwyn, managing director of Intelligent
Finishing Systems, says he is looking forward to the ‘hustle and bustle’
of the event
“We have also worked hard to develop long-standing relationships with
customers that result in them coming back to us time and again when
investment is required. Crucial, too, is starting conversations with
operations we don’t know that well, which is why events like The Print
Show are so important.”
Returning exhibitors plumping for an increased presence seems to be an
emerging theme, as OKI Systems UK goes bigger for year two, taking a
larger stand and showcasing more products.
Marketing manager at OKI Andrew Hall says: “Overall, we had a very
successful show last year and with the advancement in our portfolio have
chosen to return with a bigger and better stand to compliment this.
Andrew Hall, marketing manager of OKI Systems UK, says
The Print Show promises to be ‘an interesting platform for innovative
printing technology’
“OKI will be demonstrating our newly launched Pro6410 NeonColor printer,
our award-winning white toner technology, multi-award-winning
five-colour technology and the renowned ColorPainter large format
printers including the H3-104s and M-64s.
“We have positioned our portfolio of Graphic Arts products as a
'Business in a Box', by that we mean that any printer, commercial or
small copy shop can be up and running and producing short run on demand
and personalised output, without huge set up costs and investment.”
The upward trajectory of the show reaffirms its importance in the
industry. It is not just another exhibition, but an integral support
system for UK print, seeking to help businesses navigate the choppy
waters of a post-recession, post-Brexit world, and bringing them
face-to-face with the latest innovations shaping the market.
Godwyn shares the optimism and enthusiasm that is at the heart of the
event’s ethos, adding: “If last year is anything to go by, we are
looking forward the hustle and bustle of an event that attracts a great
deal of industry positivity and encourages investment in long term
productivity and profitability.”

bustle of an event that attracts a great deal of industry positivity
and encourages investment in long term productivity and profitability”
Hall of OKI echoes these sentiments, concluding: “We are extremely
excited about this year's Print Show, which promises to be an
interesting platform for innovative printing technology and encourage
anyone looking to expand their portfolio of offerings within the graphic
arts and creative businesses to commercial print and copy shops to
visit and experience for themselves the latest in print technology.
“With live product demonstrations on the OKI stand, visitors will be
able to see first-hand how OKI’s commitment to innovation can provide
businesses with practical yet lucrative new revenue streams.”
The good news is that anyone that did not get the opportunity to make it
to Drupa in Dusseldorf earlier this year will have the chance to see a
lot of the products launched and displayed there at the event. The Print
Show may not share the magnitude of the industry’s largest trade
exhibition—but it is heading in the right direction.
