The new Addlux LEDlight sheet panels will complement the existing range of Perspex’s LED lighting solutions

Supplied exclusively by Addlux, the new light sheet panels will complement the existing range of Perspex LED lighting solutions, and will offer customers plug-and-play solutions for lighting or backlighting applications.

The Addlux LED light sheet panels are available in thicknesses from 4mm up to 10mm while panels can be supplied in sizes ranging from 4m x 1.6m up to 3m x 2m.

“We had great feedback demonstrating the ideal combination of Addlux LED light sheet panels and Perspex diffusing panels at the Sign & Digital UK,” explains Perspex director Craig Dodson.

“By teaming up with Addlux our customers now benefit from easy access to what we believe to be the best quality LED light sheet panels available on the market, they will be a valuable extension to our lighting range.”

Niels Fullerton-Batten, managing director at Addlux, adds: “We are delighted to join forces with Perspex Distribution as our UK distributor for LED light sheet panels.

“We believe that our panels offer superior brightness and light distribution at competitive prices and will be further complemented by the range of Perspex diffusing panels on offer.

“We will support Perspex with an expert technical service for their customers and short lead times; typically three to five working days.

“Our companies reinforce each other—exciting times are ahead for our joint customers.”
The Kilsyth Health Centre sculpture features various Perspex products

News of the LED light sheet panel range comes at a busy time for Perspex, which has witnessed an increase in demand for its products from businesses across the industry.

One such company is QD Plastics, which recently completed an eye-catching tower of Perspex acrylic colours at Kilsyth Health Centre in Lanarkshire.

Designed by Civic Architects, the project features Perspex solid, translucent and transparent colours.

CAD drawings designed by Civic Architects provided QD Plastics with a range of messages to be CNC cut into the materials, which help link the sculpture to local places and thoughts.

Text was gathered in meetings with local groups in Kilsyth relating to their own relationships with the local area and its community—in the hope of providing a positive distraction to patients, visitors and staff at the new health centre.

We remain focused on our core strengths, particularly in the print, signage and POS sectors with an evolving strategy to meet demand

Speaking to SignLink, Perspex’s Dodson says that this ongoing interest in the firm’s products will help support the development of new solutions for the industry.

“We remain focused on our core strengths, particularly in the print, signage and POS sectors with an evolving strategy to meet demand,” Dodson says.

“We have a shared vision throughout our business focused on service which drives our future growth – as an example, when we started selling LEDs, we supported its roll out with a team of external product managers to visit and technically support our customers, plus a network of LED experts at every branch to provide free layout drawings and telephone support.

“We remain optimistic for future growth, with a foundation in the signage and print market, and expect in the near future to further expand our distribution network to better service our growing customer base.”
