If you are familiar with the terms ‘finish around the basket’ and ‘killer crossover’ then you may be involved with the sport of basketball and know something of the game in England.

Slam dunk: the work included fine graphics and LED imagery

Signs Express Sheffield had the happy task of creating the signage for the headquarters of Baskeball England, the national team of England who are based in the Yorkshire city. The work included a large 3D version of the team’s logo featuring its strapline of ‘be inspired’, plus wall graphics and insignia throughout the building.

Signs Express say that large areas of wall space also followed the basketball theme with a ‘lay up’— a person scoring a basket—in a series of images across the full length of one wall. All in all it was something of a slam dunk of a job and one that reveals the multitude of talents deployed by sign-makers.

Steve Morris of Signs Express Sheffield says: “This was a great project to work on and we are delighted with the finished results. The contrasting vinyl against plain walls works brilliantly and the whole facility is a great addition to Sheffield. The logo lends itself perfectly to 3D recreation so we were very happy to provide this as an option for the reception signage. Providing the right first impression to visitors is essential and helps create the right training and development atmosphere in an organisation such as Basketball England.”
