Yes or No: Calvin Smith has strong views over the Scottish vote

Calvin Smith of Calsigns in Luton took exception to Blackett’s comments as reported by SignLink about the possibility of a Yes vote and how it could affect the signage industry. Blackett said that nobody knew what would happen but in Ireland sign-makers were able to operate both sides of the border.

Calsigns were established in 1978 and say they have built up an enviable reputation since then. They supply and install all types of signage for all businesses, educational institutes and the public sector

Smith wrote to SignLink saying: “I am proud of the UK and want Scotland to stay a part of us. But such has been the vitriolic hatred of the English from Scotland, even if they vote No, it can never be the same again. They have shown their true colours, and Alex Salmond’s comparison of the Scots with that of Nelson Mandela seeking universal suffrage in South Africa, was disgusting.

“I now agree with those who say, we have done all we can, given all we can, and said all we can, to appease the Scots. We must not be made to crawl, so let them go and good riddance. The damage they have done during this campaign is irreparable.”

Calsigns were established in 1978 and say they have built up an enviable reputation since then. They supply and install all types of signage for all businesses, educational institutes and the public sector. Their range of products include illuminated and non-illuminated letters and logos, along with neon LEDs, wide-format full colour digital printing and vehicle livery and operate nationwide.

What do you think of the YES/NO vote? Do you agree with Calvin Smith?
