Industry giant Roland DG has kicked off a special series of roadshows dedicated to the benefits of its print and cut technology

The series, which began at Sandown Park in Surrey on July 8, is being organised by Newtech under the banner of ‘The Wide Format Printing, Displays and Finishing Show’.

Brett Newman, Roland DG sales and technical director, comments: “We are really excited about being involved in the Newtech roadshows; busy people don’t always have the time to visit our showrooms or our stand at exhibitions so taking our technology solutions on the road will enable people to meet us at a time and place more convenient to them.

“By having sessions that start early in the day and also run into the evening, visitors have the option of coming before or after work.”

The shows will feature Roland DG technology such as two of its wide-format inkjet printer/cutters; the flagship SOLJET PRO4 XR-640 and the popular VersaCAMM VS-i series.

In addition, the series will also demonstrate to attendees the type of applications such technology can create—thus highlighting areas of potential growth and diversification.

Newman adds: “Screen printing and pad printing are traditional methods for personalising and customising gifts and other products and these technologies are suited to large production runs.

“However there has been a growing demand for shorter runs and this is where digital printers, such as the Roland VersaUV LEF-20, can really add value.”
