Brazil man: Alexandre Keese of Fespa

Speaking exclusively to Print 7News the director at APS Editorial Feiras and Eventos who work alongside Fespa the Brazilian resident says the country is undergoing growing pains.

He outlined how the economy has been transformed in recent years as Brazil embraces economic reforms, international business and democracy. However there were problems he says with elections due in the next three months which will affect how the new Government deals with the crisis brought about by the protests over the expense of the World Cup.

The protests he agreed were the signs of growing pains with many people angry the Government were not channelling more cash into social infrastructure such as schools, housing and hospitals

Wide-format printing has expanded in the last five years he says, and with the football tournament, business has been boosted. The protests he agreed were the signs of growing pains with many people angry the Government were not channelling more cash into social infrastructure such as schools, housing and hospitals.

Brazil wrapper: how it's done down Rio way

Now ranked as the eighth largest economy in the world, with a population of more than 200 million, Brazil is ranked as a rapidly emerging power—hence its choice as the location for Fespa for its exhibition next year.

Keese says that although many think of Rio as symbolic of Brazil along with its beach culture the city of Sao Paulo to the south is the business capital and is the place that is most like western cities. He says that Rio is for parties and Sao Paulo is for business—and he says Brazil will win the World Cup.
