Brazil! Brazil! The Dakronics screen in action

Several of the first round matches played at two of the grounds have Daktronics LED video displays to provide fans with an elevated game-day experience.

The first match to use the technology will be Arena das Dunas in Natal on June 13th. While Arena da Amazonia in Manaus, will be the second stadium to use Daktronics’ equipment on June 14th.  There will be a total of four matches played at each venue in the first round, seeing the USA, England, Italy, Japan, Greece and Portuguese teams take to the pitch pursuing World Cup glory.

Daktronics will reportedly have a field technician on site at Arena da Amazonia for all matches to make sure things go smoothly and more importantly make any running repairs should the humidity have an effect

Daktronics will reportedly have a field technician on site at Arena da Amazonia for all matches to make sure things go smoothly and more importantly make any running repairs should the humidity have an effect.

As for Arena das Dunas, the field technician will provide preventative maintenance and inspection before the first match and on-site support for the third match. For all four matches, Daktronics will provide staff for the stadium with at least one engineer who can provide immediate on-site support, if necessary.

The high-level of support highlights that although impressive, this technology sector still has a long way to go in terms of robust performance and endurance.
