Clear Channel and Zeta Specialist Lighting have joined forces to install a solar-powered bus shelter on London’s Waterloo Bridge
Armed with specially designed a solar LED lighting kit from Zeta Specialist Lighting, Clear Channel installed four vandal-resistant solar panels on top of the Tfl bus shelter, which both power the advertising panel and the shelter’s courtesy light. The unit also includes Zeta’s Energy Management System, which manages the battery life and automatically dims the light if power is running low.
Dave Huckerby, development director at Clear Channel UK, comments: “We are proud of our commitment to sustainable development—it is truly at the front of our minds whenever we develop new products and technologies. This is an exciting launch for us and for London and we look forward to developing the product as we introduce the technology in other communities.”
