Amari casts its green net wider

Following success in both the UK and mainland Europe, Amari Plastics has announced an extension to its Green Cast series, a range of acrylic products made from 100 percent recycled materials

Developments in cast acrylic sheet have extended the range of creative options for sign-makers

The range, which is manufactured by Madreperla Spa in Italy, now includes Opal and White opaque
sheets, with more than 50 colours available as standard. Dr. Massimo Magistrini, European marketing and sales manager for Madreperla, explains: “The proprietary technology developed by Madreperla has enabled us to produce a sheet that displays all the qualities of a virgin acrylic sheet.

He continues: “It offers the customer a recycled, sustainable product that at the end of its life can be recycled again, making it a closed loop product. Many European retailers are now looking to Green Cast to help them fulfil their own companies’ environmental objectives and targets.”

Acrylic has long been seen as a ‘dirty’ product, produced from oil and sold for scrap at low values to be made in to a lower grade product. Now it can be used again and again to make high quality, visually perfect displays

In a statement, Amari acknowledge the other recycled sheets on the market, but point to Green Casts’ ‘crystal clear’ appearance and 100 percent recycled composition as factors that set it apart.

Amari’s product development manager, Jamie Manifold, comments: “Acrylic has long been seen as a ‘dirty’ product, produced from oil and sold for scrap at low values to be made in to a lower grade product. Now it can be used again and again to make high quality, visually perfect displays.

“The good news to the retailer and fabricators of these displays is the product is realistically valued and sold at market competitive rates to allow it to be easily integrated in to production.”
