The honour was one of many handed out at this year’s edition of the AV Awards, which pay tribute to the cream of the audio visual industry. A special ceremony was staged in September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

BrightSign’s award was handed out in recognition of its 4K players, which it says are currently the only devices on the market that can deliver a ‘true end-to-end 4K solution’.  

“The AV Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the digital signage industry,” enthuses Jeff Hastings, chief executive of BrightSign,

He adds: “We are extremely proud of our 4K player, which still leads the industry in terms of features, performance, reliability and value a full year after we started shipping it, and are delighted that a top panel of independent judges has endorsed our position.

“This award is a collective achievement by all those at BrightSign and our customers who were involved in creating this outstanding player and taking it to market.”

AV Magazine is not the only organisation to have recognised the BrightSign 4K players, with the technology having also been awarded the NSCA’s ‘Excellence in Product Innovation Awards’ in the ‘Most New Revenue Potential’ category late last year.

The players were also honoured at the International Digital Signage Awards, where BrightSign was named ‘Manufacturer of the Year’.
