Problem solved by Sloan LED

Many sign-makers have a problem when it comes to lighting narrow channel letters, as more traditional sized modules are too big to do the job.

The Sloan LED Prism Mini can fit into narrow channel letters and shallow depths

Sloan LED have found a way around this with the introduction of the Prism Mini, which is designed for slim channel letters and shallow depths.

The new product will be sold in the UK by Perspex Distribution.

LED product manager at Perspex Distribution, Ryan Mann, explains: “Prism Mini modules solve a problem for many sign-makers looking to illuminate narrow channel letters where standard sized modules can’t fit or struggle to produce an even spread of light.”

The design allows a more evenly spread illumination of the sign, and uses less modules to do so. The Sloan LED lights can work in the thinnest of installations, including channels as narrow as 50mm. The modules use as little as 0.46 watts of power each, which means that up to 120 modules can be powered by a power supply of 60W.

Sign-makers are able to use fewer modules as the prism lens spreads the light over the sign, and also aids the ability of being able to work at shallow depths. The modules are only 25mm long and 18mm wide.

Mann continues: “This new module establishes the Prism family as the go to solution for our signage customers and it joins the multiple white temperatures and four colour modules launched earlier this year—all in stock and available for next day delivery from us.”

Perspex Distribution have held a partnership with Sloan LED for the last five years.
