Digital Factory 12 introduces a range of tools to improve colour accuracy, efficiency, and automation capabilities for DTF and DTG printers

Fiery has announced the launch of Digital Factory 12, a new software workflow solution for direct-to-film (DTF) and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. The company says: “This is a major advancement for print providers looking to achieve superior colour, streamlined production, and easy workflow automation with DTF and DTG printing.”

Digital Factory 12 introduces a range of new advanced tools that aim to maximise print operations, with the ability to scale as print businesses grow.

The software solution introduces Fiery’s latest enhanced colour accuracy capabilities to DTF and DTG printing, paired with an updated interface designed to be more intuitive, modern, and accessible.

Digital Factory 12 also introduces new saturation rendering intent created specifically for DTF and textile workflows, designed to boost vibrancy in traditionally dull areas, deliver punchier colour without the risk of oversaturation, and preserve natural skin tones.

The software also includes Fiery Color Profiler, which Fiery calls “the most advanced colour engine in Digital Factory history.”

The new Color Profiler add-on uses supported spectrophotometers to calibrate printers and build International Color Consortium (ICC) profiles in-house, in order to achieve repeatable, professional-quality output.

A number of interface changes and added production tools also aim to reduce complexity and time-to-print.

This includes a native visual Gang Sheet Builder tool for drag-and-drop layout, which replaces the need for third-party tools. With the tool, operators can preview, group, nest, and auto-close sheets, all from the queue.

Enhanced markup tools have also been added to reduce finishing errors including clearer labels, orientation indicators, and finishing guides.

Toby Weiss, chief executive officer of Fiery, says: “The DTF and DTG print market is growing rapidly, and customers want less friction, more impactful colour, and future-ready workflows that take their operations to the next level.

“For over 30 years, Fiery has provided the colour technology that tens of thousands of printers around the world have relied on for the best colour quality in digital print. Digital Factory 12 changes the game for DTF and DTG printing with that same professional-grade colour calibration, combined with smart automation tools that scale as print businesses grow.”

The latest software release follows Fiery’s recent acquisition of Inedit Software, a Spanish provider of software solutions focusing on the digital textile print industry.

The acquisition, which was announced last month, was made with the aim of expanding Fiery’s product portfolio to offer a complete range of software solutions for the digital textile and specialty printing markets.

In a statement on the acquisition, Weiss says that Fiery is aiming to be “a true one-stop-shop for all digital production print providers.”
