QPS expands ColorJet range with Vulcan Hybrid 1800
The 1.8m ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid 1800 UV press will now be distributed by its official UK distributor, QPS, addressing demand for compact hybrid print solutions
Hybrid will demonstrate Mimaki’s TRAPIS textile printing system for the first time in the UK at a two-day open house event
Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor for Mimaki in UK and Ireland, will host a two-day ‘open house’ textile event at its Cheshire showroom next week, allowing attendees to see its new TRAPIS textile printing system in action.
The event, taking place on January 29th and 30th, is part of a global ‘TRAPIS roadshow’ hosted by Mimaki. The event will be the first time TRAPIS (short for Transfer Pigment System) will be demonstrated in the UK.
Mimaki’s TRAPIS is designed to streamline textile workflows with a newly-developed waterless digital textile printing technology.
Using a two-step process, TRAPIS transfers designs from transfer paper to fabric with virtually no water, aiming to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional methods.
An open house format will allow visitors to drop in at their convenience, with scheduled TRAPIS demonstrations taking place throughout both days. Guests will also have the chance to explore Mimaki’s wider textile printing range, including direct-to-film (DTF) printing and entry-level, production as well as industrial dye sublimation solutions.
Representatives of design and colour management software company, AVA CAD/CAM, and fabric supplier, Premier Digital Textiles, will also be on hand during the event, providing further insights into textile printing options from a software and materials perspective.

In September, Mimaki launched four new printers to the sign and graphics, industrial, and textile markets: the Mimaki CJV200 Series of roll-to-roll print and cut solvent machines, the Mimaki TS330-3200DS direct and transfer sublimation printer, the JFX200-1213 EX entry-level flatbed UV printer, and the TxF300-1600 DTF solution.
The range was designed to be more accessible to printers of varying levels of experience to operate and maintain.
Hybrid Services showcased the Mimaki CJV200 Series and the Mimaki TS330-3200DS models at The Print Show 2024 for the first time in Europe.
