Soyang Europe announces new cushioned floor graphics solution
Soyang Europe has announced the launch of InstaFloor, a printable cushioned floor covering designed for high-traffic environments
Print provider, Oriel Studios, used Drytac’s ReTac Textures for a set of wall graphics it installed at a recently merged boys’ and girls’ school

A school which has merged its boys’ and girls’ premises onto one site has commemorated the occasion with a set of wall graphics made with Drytac materials.
Merseyside-based print service provider (PSP), Oriel Studios, used Drytac’s ReTac Textures embossed wallcovering film to create a set of informative wall graphics for local school, Merchant Taylors'.
First established in 1976, Oriel Studios offers a wide range of print, design, signage, and display services from small-format print up to large-scale signage and wall graphics. Its clients include Merseyrail, Liverpool John Moores University, and Everton Football Club, among others.
A recent project saw it link up with Merchant Taylors' school, which is in the process of merging its boys’ and girls’ premises. The school was seeking to improve its interior graphics, with Oriel Studios given the task of producing a centrepiece installation celebrating the history of both schools.
Oriel Studios managed the entire project including initial consultation and measurements, design, printing, and final installation.
After careful consideration of material options, Drytac's ReTac Textures Linen was chosen by Oriel, with the company highlighting its unique textured finish as well as its durability in high traffic environments.
The ReTac Textures media was supplied by Premier Paper Group, Drytac’s exclusive partner in the UK and Ireland for all wide-format print media. Oriel Studios used its HP Latex 800W to print the graphics in-house, before its team headed to the school to complete the installation in April.

ReTac is designed for uses across home, business, retail and display environments, featuring a polymeric self-adhesive vinyl with a ‘permanently peelable’ adhesive backing. The backing allows the vinyl to be repositioned during installation and easily removed, reportedly even years later.
ReTac is available in sand, linen, and canvas finishes, and is compatible with eco-solvent, latex/resin, and UV printers.
Jake Wilson, sales and marketing manager at Oriel Studios, says: “We went with this product after doing a bit of product testing as we felt it gave the right finish to its surroundings and, with it being a school, the textured finish would be longer lasting against the bumps and scrapes of school life.
“We had no issues from production or installation. The product was great to install, and we were able to finish ahead of schedule.”
Speaking about the response from the client, Wilson adds: “The feedback from the customer has been fantastic.
“The project was kept under wraps to give everyone in the school a surprise when they came back from half-term, and we are still getting messages on emails and social media about how much people love the wall.”
Drytac also recently partnered with Premier to launch PaperTac, a fully recyclable, self-adhesive, premium coated paper.
PaperTac, which is developed exclusively for the wide-format sign and display market, was developed in response to growing demand from customers and end-users for more recyclable print solutions.
