Wide-format print specialist, PressOn, has invested in a Fujifilm Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED in order to replace two hybrid printers and help serve its diverse customer base.

PressOn, which was founded in 1999, is based in Kent and serves a number of markets including retail, property, fleet livery, infrastructure, and advertising.

PressOn Automotive is the company’s dedicated vehicle wrapping branch, which specialises in vehicle graphics, vinyl detailing, and colour changes. In December 2024, PressOn Automative held an event with All Print Supplies (APS) demonstrating professional vehicle wrapping to a range of visitors.

Installed in June 2025, PressOn’s new Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is reportedly delivering improvements in speed, quality, and media versatility. The company was looking for a new print solution when two of its hybrid printers were reaching end of life and so a new investment was needed to meet the growing demands of the business.

The Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED uses Fujifilm Uvijet UH inks, which are developed and manufactured in the UK. The investment is seen by PressOn as a sustainable one as the printer has a number of environmental benefits.

Andy Wilson, managing director of PressOn, says: β€œUV printers often have a reputation for producing strong odours. Our last machine caused many issues for us due to this. But the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED produces virtually no smell at all, thanks to the formulation of Fujifilm’s inks. It’s quieter, cooler, and doesn’t require additional ventilation. That’s a big deal for our team.”

Speaking about the purchase by PressOn, Mike Lewis, wide format business manager for Fujifilm, comments: β€œWe’re delighted to be working with PressOn, a company with an outstanding reputation for quality and innovation in the wide-format space.

β€œThe Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is designed to deliver exceptional flexibility, speed, and sustainability, and it’s great to see it already having such a positive impact on PressOn’s operations. We look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.”

Wilson adds: β€œLarge-format digital printing is at the core of what we do, and we’ve deliberately always stayed broad in our offering. That diversity makes us more agile and resilient, especially in today’s fast-moving market.”

PressOn says it looked at several players in the market but was impressed by Fujifilm’s approach to ink, with one member of staff at the Fujifilm Broadstairs site saying: β€œAfter everything else, the ink is what is left behind”. This statement resonated with Wilson who has seen a seamless transition in output and performance since installation.

Visitors of The Print Show and Sign Show can see Fujifilm’s wide-format and commercial print technologies on Stand P400 from September 23rd to 25th in Hall 3 of the NEC, Birmingham.
