Wide-format print media supplier, Innotech, has announced the launch of what it has dubbed β€œthe UK’s first dedicated Black Display Hardware collection.”

The new collection offers a range of Innotech's best-selling display products, now available in a premium black finish.

The range includes roller banners, A-frames, silicone edge graphics (SEG), and magnetic display systems, offering printers another option which aims to respond to the increasingly design-conscious environments that modern sign and display specialists encounter.

The new collection aims to combat the perception that silver aluminium must remain the standard for portable display hardware.

Despite the reliability of silver aluminium display, Innotech believes that it no longer matches all of the environments that the displays are actually used in, particularly in modern retail spaces, car showrooms, exhibitions, and corporate interiors.

Speaking about this shift in perception, Innotech says: β€œThe world around our hardware has changed. So we asked a simple question: Why hasn't the hardware changed with it? Not because silver is going anywhere, but because it shouldn't be the only choice.”

According to a LinkedIn post from Kieran Dallow, head of customer experience and marketing at Innotech, the concept began as a conversation in the Innotech office, which then developed into a product launch that he believes β€œcan shift our industry.”

In the post, Dallow says: β€œThis came from a simple idea: why does display hardware always have to look the same? We felt it was time for something different – and after a lot of conversations, development, and work behind the scenes, it’s brilliant to finally see that idea become a reality.”

Stock of the new Black Display Hardware collection has already started arriving at Innotech's facility, with more due to come in over the next few weeks.

Innotech will be bringing the full collection to The Print Show from September 29th to October 1st at NEC Birmingham, giving print, sign, and display professionals the chance to see the collection for themselves on the show floor.

Dallow adds: β€œThis has been a real team effort, and it’s been great working together to take this from an office conversation to a product range we can finally bring to market.

β€œIt’s time for a change in display hardware. And I’m incredibly proud to have played a part in making it happen.”
