Industry event Printwear & Promotion LIVE! which took place between February 26th and February 28th, 2023, has announced visitors of over 5,000 across the three day exhibition.

The event is the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for garment decoration, including solutions for printers, embroiderers, retailers, and promotional product distributors.

The show was previously affected by the pandemic, delaying the 2022 show from February to April. With visitor numbers last year below 5,000, the latest figures are a positive sign of a return to form for industry events following recent challenges.

Event director, Tony Gardner, comments: “We were delighted with the visitor turnout this year with a 15% increase on the April 2022 show! The feedback received from both exhibitors and visitors confirms both the vibrancy of the market, and the importance of and need for the show to be an annual event for the industry.”

Tim Roberts, sales director at Chadwick Teamwear, adds: “We received more enquiries and sample orders than any other event we have previously exhibited at. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! continues to surprise me with the number of new contacts we make year after year.”

The exhibition features over 100 stands attracting around 5,000 visitors on an annual basis

The team at Printwear has also commented on the uplifted mood at this year’s event, describing it as having an “upbeat vibe” with lots of visitors taking photos and positing positive feedback on social media.

Regular visitor Frank Dunn of Sew Stitch Designs said: “I mainly came to meet up with people and to see if there’s anything new in the embroidery field. We’ve been coming for the last five years and treat it as a little mini break. I would 100% recommend the exhibition, everything you could want to run a garment decoration business is here.”

The show played host to several exclusive launches including Mimaki’s first direct-to-film printer, the TxF150-75, as well as a prototype of Brother’s first standalone direct-to-film printer.

Seen for the first time anywhere in Europe DuPont unveiled its new Artistri P1600 DTF inks, which were put to the test over the three days on Resolute DTF’s R-Jet PRO DTF V4 system.

Printwear & Promotion has confirmed it will return in 2024, with the provisional dates set for February 18th to February 20th.
