QPS expands ColorJet range with Vulcan Hybrid 1800
The 1.8m ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid 1800 UV press will now be distributed by its official UK distributor, QPS, addressing demand for compact hybrid print solutions
Hybrid Services, Mimaki’s distributor for the UK and Ireland, has announced the introduction of two new direct-to-textile printers, the Mimaki Tx330-1800 and Tx330-1800B

Mimaki has announced the launch of two new direct-to-textile (DTT) printers, the Mimaki Tx330-1800 and Tx330-1800B. The new DTT solutions will be introduced to the UK market by Hybrid Services, Mimaki’s distributor for the UK and Ireland, later this year.
The solutions have reportedly been made in response to a desire from the textile industry to move towards waterless solutions, as well as for apparel manufacturers looking for more sustainable options that don’t compromise on quality.
The Tx330 series has been designed to print on a variety of materials with minimal wastewater. The machines work in contrast to many textile printing processes that require pre- and post-processing equipment, aiming to streamline production into a more space-efficient solution.
The Tx330-1800 allows for printing on both fabric and paper in one machine, supporting the production of both textile signage and interior fabrics.
Mimaki says the Tx330-1800B uses a belt conveyor to print on fabrics with varying thicknesses and elasticity, designed to produce short-run and varied apparel in small spaces such as offices, schools, and retail stores.
Both printers are equipped with dual ink set capability, allowing operators to switch between textile pigment inks and dye sublimation inks.
Unlike conventional dye inks, the solutions offer a simplified and combined printing and heat fixation procedure. This aims to eliminate the need for facilities for water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment.
The procedure has also been developed with ease-of-use in mind, reducing the dyeing expertise needed to operate the machines.
The series utilises Mimaki’s ‘330 Engine’ printheads, providing the same details, colouring, and accuracy as other entries in the 330 Series. Features include smooth gradation expression and high-density printing capabilities.
To accompany the Tx330 series, Mimaki is also introducing its TxLink5 textile RIP software. This latest version of the TxLink software is designed to further improve the workflow in environments with multiple printers, allowing users to manage their printing processes more efficiently.

Arjen Evertse, general manager of sales EMEA at Mimaki Europe, comments: “Looking at today’s textile market, we anticipate that the demand for textile products produced on-demand and locally will continue to grow.
“With that in mind, we released two products which are easy-to-use, versatile, and sustainable, for those printers looking to incorporate textile printing capabilities within a small space, without compromising on capabilities and quality.”
Going into more detail about the reduction in wastewater that the solutions offer, Evertse continues: “The ink versatility aspect of these printers tackles the important concern of industrial water pollution, of which traditional textile dyeing alone contributes around 20%.
“Utilising textile pigment and dye sublimation processes, Mimaki’s latest printing solutions remove the need for the large amounts of water typically required in post-processing, creating a much more resource efficient process with almost no water used at all – while also significantly reducing energy consumption.”
The Tx330-1800 will be debuted to the EMEA region at FESPA Global Print Expo 2025, held in Berlin between May 6th to 9th, with further details concerning both printers being provided at the expo.
The Tx330-1800 and Tx330-1800B will both become available to the market in June 2025.
