Hybrid Services has announced the addition of two new partners to its channel of Mimaki resellers, allowing wider distribution of Mimaki products in the UK and Ireland

Hybrid Services, the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of Mimaki solutions, has added two new authorised partners to its existing channel of Mimaki resellers.
The company has appointed Colourbyte in England and Trimwel in Ireland to its channel, bolstering an established network of reseller partners which already includes Soyang Hardware, CMYUK, and Signmaster Systems.
“Our customers across the UK and Ireland already benefit from a network of committed, knowledgeable, and expert Mimaki authorised partners,” says Hybrid sales director, Andy Gregory. “We’re very pleased to announce the addition of two highly regarded businesses to the channel.”
Hertfordshire-based Colourbyte offers a range of printing equipment and media from its 18,000sq ft warehouse and showroom. The company, which was originally founded in 1997, adds Mimaki solutions to a portfolio that already includes wide-format offerings from Epson and Mutoh.
Solutions already on offer on Colourbyte’s website include a range of Mimaki’s print and cut eco-solvent printers, including the 30-inch CJV200‑75, 54-inch CJV200-130, and 64-inch CJV200-160, the latter of which was first unveiled at The Print Show 2024.
Speaking of becoming an official Mimaki reseller, Tim Stockley, managing director of Colourbyte, says: “Over the past 27 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure our customers in the signage, interior décor, and photo gift markets have access to the best products and expertise available.
“By becoming an authorised reseller partner for Mimaki Sign & Graphics products, we’re taking our offering to the next level. This partnership will allow us to provide our customers with an even wider range of solutions, perfectly complemented by our extensive range of media and unrivalled technical support.”
Formed in 1983, Trimwel offers a wide range of sign and graphics materials and equipment from its offices in Dublin. According to a social media post released by Trimwel, the company will now offer Mimaki’s CJV200-160 as part of its updated product portfolio.
Nick Little, managing director of Trimwel, comments: “We are partnering with an amazing brand in Mimaki and Hybrid that gives us the chance to provide our customers with market leading products that complement our current material supplies.”
Hybrid recently hosted a two-day ‘open house’ textile event at its Cheshire showroom, allowing attendees to see Mimaki’s new TRAPIS textile printing system in action.
The event, which was part of a global ‘TRAPIS roadshow’ hosted by Mimaki, was the first time TRAPIS (short for Transfer Pigment System) was demonstrated in the UK.
