CMYUK has partnered with Eddie Tucker to deliver its print equipment solutions directly to Liyu England’s established customer base

Wide-format kit supplier, CMYUK, has announced a new strategic partnership with Eddie Tucker, managing director of Liyu England, collaborating with Tucker’s company to offer CMYUK’s range of products to its existing customer base.
Under the agreement, Liyu England is designated as “CMYUK’s first UK agent”, representing both its production technology and materials portfolio.
Following recent market shifts, Liyu England operates as an independent sales office led by Tucker, moving away from its previous role as the direct, exclusive distributor for LIYU hardware.
This transition follows a recent decision by the manufacturer, Platinum Technologies LIYU, to establish a major UK distribution agreement with Soyang Europe.
Because Tucker maintains long-term commercial relationships with an existing network of UK print shops that have invested in LIYU machinery, CMYUK’s new agency agreement allows them to effectively support and utilise those established client connections.
The partnership aims to provide a stronger support proposition for these existing LIYU users and a clear route into wider production opportunities including finishing, automation, and digital textiles solutions, including the JWEI range of digital cutting and finishing equipment.
Tucker has returned to his role as managing director following a period away from the business due to significant health challenges. CMYUK says that he has “returned with a more focused, sustainable model built around customer relationships, technical value, and long-term growth.”
Robin East, group chief commercial officer of CMYUK, says: “Eddie is recognised as a highly committed, customer-orientated figure in the LIYU community.
“He knows the industry dynamics, he understands the equipment landscape, and the importance of helping businesses create efficient holistic production environments. This new agreement gives Eddie the platform to continue supporting that community, but now with the full backing of CMYUK behind him.”
Under the new arrangement, Liyu England’s existing customer base will now have access to CMYUK’s wider infrastructure, including its demonstration facilities and technical support teams.
Digital textiles from brands including UFABRIK will also be a key focus of the partnership. CMYUK colour specialists will work alongside Tucker to create dedicated UFABRIK colour profiles for LIYU users, with materials and printer settings tested for reliable and productive output.
Training content and tutorial videos will also be developed around core LIYU textile applications, helping customers migrate towards new workflows.
Tucker comments: “I know my customers’ businesses well and I understand the realities they face. Many are looking at how to improve productivity, add finishing, move into new applications, or get more from the equipment they already own.
“Through this structure, I can remain their single point of contact while giving them access to CMYUK’s wider technology, materials, and support infrastructure. That turns conversations into solutions-led opportunities for better workflows, stronger output, and more profitable growth.”
Tucker and his UK team will join CMYUK on its stand at The Print Show, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from September 29th to October 1st, 2026, where they will be available to meet new prospects and connect with existing LIYU customers.
