Signage solutions provider, Just AJD, has completed an important stage of a project with Crawley Borough Council

Just AJD, a wide-format print and signage provider based in Dorset, has confirmed completion of Phase Two of a major signage project for Crawley Borough Council in Sussex.
The project involved constructing and installing site hoardings around Cawley Borough Council’s old town hall while the building was being demolished, to make way for new residential housing and commercial developments.
The hoarding panels celebrate the town’s past, present, and future while showcasing a mix of historic buildings, green spaces, and the Manor Royal Business District.
Michael Jones, leader of Crawley Borough Council, says: “Regenerating our town centre is about honouring where we’ve come from while building confidently for the future.
“These new hoardings bring that story to life by celebrating our heritage, showcasing the landmarks, and giving residents a clear sense of the progress being made. They help everyone visualise the improvements ahead as we continue creating a modern space at the heart of our town.”
The finished installation consists of 8’ x 4’ wooden panels which are protected by a specialist anti-graffiti laminate and backed by a two-year guarantee. Ahead of the install, Just AJD worked with council officers to conduct risk assessments and produce written safety and logistical protocols.
Andrew Ballington-James, founder and managing director of Just AJD, adds: “This has been a rewarding print and installation project working very closely with Crawley Borough Council over a number of years, as part of its plan to transform a vital part of the town centre.”
Ballington-James explains that complications arose during installation regarding power cables that were discovered under the demolition site, saying: “Apart from a short delay of around a week due to this issue, the installation went really smoothly, and we are proud to see our work play a role in Crawley’s rejuvenation.”
At the end of last year, Just AJD was renamed and rebranded in order to refresh the company and help usher in a new phase of expansion, following a series of investments.
