Roland DG renews its partnership with the Granthams team

Amaya Sales UK has been selected as a new distributor for the TrueVIS SG-300, a wide-format printer/cutter capable of printing on a range of coated and uncoated media.

The TrueVIS SG-300 is suited to producing short-run heat-transfer graphics for apparel, as well as wall graphics, fine art and photographs, vehicle graphics, posters, decals and stickers, banners and back-lit displays.

Peter Wright, director at Amaya Sales UK, comments: "The Roland SG range of print-and-cut equipment fits perfectly with our garment decoration products and will allow us to provide our customers the exact fit for their needs. The Roland will give both new and existing clients more choice of application as well as streamlining their existing workflows."

All of the equipment we sell is very hands-on and gives the users options to customise workflows

He continues: "All of the equipment we sell is very hands-on and gives the users options to customise workflows, whether they need a higher quality output or more throughput.

"The Roland SG range does exactly the same in giving flexibility to our customers' businesses, enabling them to fulfil their customers' needs quickly, effortlessly and on time, every time without fail. The Roland VersaWorks RIP software plays a massive part in this as well, making everything just so, so easy."

Elsewhere, Roland DG has renewed its partnership with Granthams, a firm with a history in the industry dating back to 1890. Having started out as a sign-writing business in Blackpool, Granthams backed the biggest innovations in the 20th century, including the introduction of Perspex in 1967 and being appointed as an authorised dealer for Apple’s first computer graphic systems.

Granthams has had a very long history with Roland and we feel the TrueVIS VG2 will complement our premium range

With many Grantham customers already operating Roland machines, it is hoped the renewed partnership will offer more opportunities within wide-format printing.

"Granthams has had a very long history with Roland and we feel the TrueVIS VG2 will complement our premium range, helping to ensure that our customers can make the best decision when investing in outdoor-durable options," says Kirsty Reader, general manager at Granthams.

"Prints from the new Roland VG2 printer/cutter are ready for lamination in as little as six hours and the machines require less frequent maintenance and cleaning. Plus, the 500ml ink sacks don't have an expiry date making them even more cost efficient."
