Vivid Laminating Technologies has set its sights on securing further expansion in the wide-format market, after reporting heavy interest in its products at Drupa 2016.

Vivid is targeting wide-format following its 'most successful Drupa to date'

The firm, which this year was operating from its largest-ever exhibition stand, was busy throughout the event, with visitors from around the world stopping by to see the solutions on offer.

Lewis Evans, product manager, told Sign Link that Vivid has enjoyed plenty of success with its Matrix and Easymount in the more traditional markets, but is now hoping to expand this into the wide-format sector of the industry through the signing of new dealer partnerships.

“The new products have gone down a storm, particularly on the wide-format front with the air foiling that’s soon to be launched, and our new foiling applications we’ve launched on the Matrix, along with glitter lamination films to add value to print for both new and existing customers,” Evans explains.

“We’re targeting as many dealers across the world as we can; we currently have over 50, but we hope to get more exposure from winning awards on the Matrix and Easymount.

“We believe this is down to how easy the systems are to use, how cost-effective they are to run, and how quickly you can get specialised jobs done.

Vivid are having more products, applications and exciting things to show, and to give a message across that you are buying into Vivid, rather than just a piece of metal

“We’re looking over the coming months, and the rest of the year, to replicate this on the wide-format market as well.”

Focusing more on the size of Vivid’s stand at Drupa, Evans explains that this is down to the company’s expanding portfolio of products—a trend that shows no immediate signs of slowing down.

“This is the biggest stand we’ve ever had, but it’s also the most we’ve ever had to show, so we anticipate that continuing even more so,” he says.

“Vivid are having more products, applications and exciting things to show, and to give a message across that you are buying into Vivid, rather than just a piece of metal.

“We’re here to help and show how we can bring out new products for the kit you have already got.”
