The sleek new offering took pride of place on the Gandy stand, and backs up its appealing design and dynamic name with the capacity to print onto substrates of up to 50mm thickness and to print at 1200 dpi.

President of Gandy Digital in Canada, Hary Gandy, said at the show: “The Fascin8tor is our new introduction here at FESPA. Gandy Digital has decades of experience in the business, and we’ve put a lot of our experience and technology into making this product. We feel we have definitely made the best 5m printer on the market today.

“There has been a tremendous reaction in the market, and many customers have said they are coming to the show just to see this printer and talk to us.”

Gandy Digital has a history of launching new machinery at FESPA, many of which share the Fascin8tor’s ‘8’ theme—last year saw the Gladi8tor debut at FESPA in Cologne, and prior to this in 2014 the Pred8tor and Domin8tor were introduced to the world.

The firm’s attractive black and yellow designs combined with the atypical names are a unique selling point of Gandy’s. Shmulik Lagziel, managing director, says that in every machine it develops they ‘think a lot about the design, as well as the reliability’, and it certainly caught the attention of passers-by at the show. The firm had sold five Fascin8tors by lunchtime on day one of FESPA Digital.
