Preston-based Optimum Signs is the first UK company to purchase printIQ’s V46 MIS.

Launched in March, the ‘Version 46’ software has over 30 new features and updates with printIQ demonstrating the cloud-based MIS at Sign and Digital UK.

According to printIQ, automated workflow is a prominent focus for customers and as a result, the MIS provider has produced a package that enables this with automation, connectivity, and visibility all key features.

New to the V46 is a new ‘Sign Off’ app which allows iPhone or Android phone users to upload all information directly to a job bag, review, check, sign off large-format print and signage jobs from anywhere and anytime.

Other features include an outsource portal which enables greater control when ordering from suppliers; an IQ Link which enables customers to collaborate with other IQ users; and advanced functionality with Infigo for live pricing and stock control as well as ‘Push’ which gives dynamic updates in Infigo store fronts.

“V46 is an incredibly powerful advancement for our MIS and has been developed by listening to our customers and the marketplace that they serve,” says Paul Bromley, global sales director of printIQ.

“We consider ourselves to be both innovative and consistent with our technological advances ensuring our solution never stands still in this market sector and the main reason why customers are looking to migrate to a new MIS ‘present day’ solution”.

Optimum Signs’ managing director Matthew Austin placed the order for the V46 solution on the first day of Sign and Digital UK.

Having been at the forefront of signage innovation for the past 15 years, Optimum works from three manufacturing units in Lancashire with projects being rolled out nationwide.

Having been in discussion with printIQ for several months prior to the purchase, Austin says the company is always looking to innovate with the best technology available.

“The release of V46 along with the show proved perfect timing for us to confirm the order and start to plan ahead,” Austin says. “We deal with some major brands and we see this system as providing more visibility and communication for them as well as automating our workflow internally.”
