With sustainability a key goal of the BCF, many of the awards were based upon this issue.
Fujichem Sonneborn took away the BCF Sustainable Innovation Award for their new chrome paint finish technology, and the supplementary supplier award was won by Covestro for their polyurethane hardener with renewable raw material content.

Our Awards go from strength to strength – with over three times as any guests at our dinner compared to our first year in 2010 and a record number of entries

2015’s top sites for environmental performance were HMG Paints, which won the Coatings Care Overall Best Performer, and Jotun Paints, which won the Coatings Care Progress award.

“Our Awards go from strength to strength – with over three times as any guests at our dinner compared to our first year in 2010 and a record number of entries,” says BCF’s chief executive officer, Tom Bowtell.

He adds: “Our industry has achieved some amazing successes during a very tough few years, and I’m proud to represent an industry that takes sustainability, training and customer service so seriously. Well done to all our finalists, and especially our winners!”

Sun Chemical walked away with the Excellence in Training award, while Daniel Casey from Becker Industrial Coatings picked up the Student of the Year award. Farrow and Ball won the BCF Customer Service award, new to this year.
