Sign 2000 was handed the honour after going, ‘beyond the core requirements’ of the Investors in People Standard

The award was handed over by Investors in People, a framework that helps suitable organisations of any size and sector to transform business performance through people. The Bronze award is achieved by just 5 percent of recognised organisations in the UK, with the honour only being handed to those that have demonstrated an additional 26 more pieces of evidence in the Investors in People core Standard.

Steve Spackman, marketing director at Sign 2000, enthuses: “Achieving this award is extremely satisfying; it’s an upgrade on our previous award and is judged by the Investors in People personnel randomly interviewing various departmental members of staff. Maintaining an appreciated and happy work force stimulates efficiency and growth, which will always lead to increased profits.”

Organisations that gain the Investors in People Standard generally have lower staff turnover and sickness rates, recruitment costs, and a reduced likelihood of litigation. In addition, recognised companies are also likely to have increased levels of profitability, employee engagement, and productivity.

John Telfer, managing director of Inspiring Business Performance (BP), the organisation that delivers Investors in People for London and the South, adds: “Sign 2000 should be very proud of their achievement, particularly as they have gone beyond the core requirements of the Standard.”
