Communis' group business development director, Gurduv Singh will take on the president's role with a brief to help more people and families that have an association with the print, graphic arts, and allied industries.

He will be assisted by Robert McClements, chief executive, PrintYorkshire and John Buffoni, managing director, Ryedale Group.

“We hope to spread the word amongst the large printing, publishing, and graphic arts fraternity about the great support the charity can provide,” says Singh.

“We will initially be aiming to develop a strong network of industry leaders through whom we can leverage support and communicate the charity’s vision and values to as many individuals as possible. “

Stephen Gilbert, chief executive, The Printing Charity adds: “The Yorkshire region is especially important to us because not only does it have the largest printing sector outside London and the South East, it is also a region where the charity historically had very good links with the industry. We wish to renew those links to help more people.”
