The BT-12 is capable of offering an in-store, on-demand personalisation experience for businesses and their clients. Since the introduction of VersaCAMM SP-300 in 2003, Roland has seen an increase in the use of its inkjet printers in the production of custom apparel and fabric goods.

Etsuo Harada, division president of COTO business division for Roland DG comments: “More recently, in-store personalisation services for printing customer designs have grown rapidly. To meet this demand, the COTO Business Division has developed the new DTG printer.”

The BT-12 is an A4 size printer that can print full-colour graphics on a variety of cotton-based items, providing they are at least 50% cotton. Sized at 399mm x 760mm, the BT-12 allows for sign-makers and print-service-providers to add personalisation to their product portfolio without concerns over space, or price.

Whilst the new DTG printer can be used on its own, it is also compatible to be used alongside Roland’s VersaSTUDIO BN-20 printer/cutter, VersaUV LEF Series UV- LED printers and the LD-80 digital foil decorator.
