The availability of TrueVIS TR-Wh white ink came into play at the end of June, and is available in 500cc pouches.

Roland DG says the white ink is an ‘economical solution to producing white prints on a variety of media, with good scratch resistance and fast drying’. The white ink will also enhance prints on dark or clear substrates.

The white ink configuration will come alongside updated versions of VersaWorks Dual, which has an automatic white generation from artwork facility. What this means is that white data can be created by several different methods, including where there is colour data and where there is no colour data.

This is not the first time Roland DG has strengthened its ink offering. Recently, the company announced the release of a range of fluorescent inks specifically formulated for its Texart XT-640 and RT-640 wide-format dye-sublimation printers.
