Bex Design has purchased the first Jetrix LX5 LED UV printer in the UK

This is Jetrix’s first ever LED UV printer and was debuted earlier this year at FESPA. It is the first in a series of LED printers to be launched and has a printing speed of up to 39sq m/h.

Claiming to deliver up to a 35 percent energy saving than a mercury lamp printer, the printer requires no warm-up time, there is less heat generated, and it has an extended lamp lifetime of up to 20,000 hours.

Ian Board, managing director of design and print specialists Bex Design, says: “We were holding out for the first LED printer from JETRIX, as we have been so impressed with the reliability and adaptability of our current printer – the JETRIX 2513 – so it was a no-brainer when we heard that JETRIX were going to offer an LED UV printer.

The biggest appeal for us was having a printer that will deliver everything that our current JETRIX gives us, and more

“The biggest appeal for us was having a printer that will deliver everything that our current JETRIX gives us, and more – environmentally friendly with instant drying capabilities, which means we can print on more diverse materials than before and extend our customer offering even further.”

Ben Woodruff, head of national sales at Jetrix comments that the company are “delighted” to have sold its first LED UV printer to a “long-standing valued UK customer.”

He continues: “Our belief in the tried and tested JETRIX technology and the response to the rising market need for increasingly efficient printers, meant that we really had to deliver a LED UV printer that over its lifetime could offer a realistic and affordable total cost of ownership and this is exactly what the LX5 achieves.”
