The SureColor SC-F9200 will be available to purchase from October

Capable of printing on dye sublimation transfer papers up to 64” wide, the new device can produce output of 720 x 1440dpi image quality.

The SC-F9200 can also hit speeds of up to approximately 97sq m in draft mode, 56sq m in production mode and as fast as 27sq m in quality mode.

The device also features Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printhead, which the firm says allows for high throughput and long production life.

The SC-F9200 will also be able to utilise HDK Black ink, the latest addition to the UltraChrome DS ink range, which has been developed for use in textile printing.

Richard Barrow, senior product manager at Epson Europe says: “Epson realises how important it is for our customers to keep their overall printing costs down.

With the SC-F9200, it is easy to achieve a very low cost per square metre thanks to the high-capacity ink tanks and Epson UltraChrome DS ink

“With the SC-F9200, it is easy to achieve a very low cost per square metre thanks to the high-capacity ink tanks and Epson UltraChrome DS ink.

“Users can also cut costs even further by using our new HDK Black ink, which needs less ink to create dense, neutral blacks, helping reduce the overall ink consumption.”

Meanwhile, Epson has also unveiled DS Transfer Multipurpose Paper, a new dye sublimation transfer paper suited for low-to-medium producers of rigid materials.

Available in long rolls, the 100gsm DS Transfer Multipurpose Paper has been designed for decorative ink transfer to hard substrates, but can also work with polyester-based textiles.
