Hybrid Services Ltd will be demonstrating the new machine on its stand (D10) at the upcoming show in Birmingham NEC, showing all interested in expanding into diverse markets the potential of this little machine.

Stuart Cole, national sales manager of Hybrid says: “The launch of the CFL-605RT at Sign and Digital UK offers packaging companies, design agencies, and their customer brands the opportunity to see a unique, fully integrated, small-format flatbed print and cut workflow solution with which to produce prototype packaging or short run bespoke projects.”

There is growing demand for on-demand production of prototypes and small lots, both for products and their packaging

The multifunction flatbed cutter, says Hybrid, can accommodate material sizes up to oversized A2, and has a maximum cutting thickness of 1mm with an optimal downforce setting between 30 and 1,000g. When used alongside the UJF-6042, the system can produce on-demand printed and cut packaging, something which Hybrid hopes to demonstrate at Sign and Digital UK.

“There is growing demand for on-demand production of prototypes and small lots, both for products and their packaging,” explains Mike Horsten, general manager marketing EMEA at Mimaki Europe. “In particular, we believe markets such as cosmetics and luxury items will benefit from the ability to produce highly responsive eye-catching packaging with short lead times.”
