The new SloanLED partnership should see Perspex tap into booming market for LED integrated signage products.

In a major new development for the company, Perspex Distribution has announced a key tie up with  lighting technology developer SloanLED.

A subsidiary of multinational acrylic sheet manufacturer Lucite International, Perspex states the motivation for the move was to essentially enable the creation of ‘products specifically developed to deal with issues faced by the signage industry’.

“We continue to listen to the changing requirements within the sign industry,” says Craig Dodson, director at Perspex Distribution, adding: “By teaming up with SloanLED, our customers will now benefit from easy access to what we believe to be the best quality LEDs in the market.”

Recent product development includes Perspex Spectrum LED, developed for sign–makers and designers looking to make an impact with light.

Using white LEDs, Perspex claim Spectrum’s colours have been specially formulated to give ‘optimised colour performance with both transmitted and reflected light’.

The SloanLED partnership should see Perspex tap into the very lucrative and growing market for LED integrated signage products.

It has also recently opened its fourth national branch in Weybridge Surrey.

The expansion was aimed at fulfilling its next day delivery service more effectively as the new depot now holds a full product range stock and resulted in 20 new jobs.

The company has also announced the expansion of its aluminium composite range with the addition of  Alufoam—which contains a foamed polyethylene core making them 30 percent lighter than standard aluminium panels—and  Alupanel Ultrawhite Digital, which fulfils the demand for pristine white digital print surfaces and features a new ‘no-residue easy peel film’.
