Nova Aluminium Systems is one of the biggest trade suppliers to the UK sign-making industry

SignLink Live will take place from October 11th to 13th at the International Centre in Telford, alongside the co-located The Print Show, the leading event for the UK print market.

The new event has already attracted a host of major companies from across the market, with the likes of FK Moore, Grafityp, Graphtec, Hampshire Flag Company, Innova Solutions, Mida Sign Services, Signgeer, Smith, The Sign Group and Zeta Specialist Lighting already on the floorplan.

Organisers can now confirm that Horizon Group, Nova Aluminium Systems, and Sign Trade Letters have also signed up to exhibit at the inaugural event later this year.

Chris Davies, event director for SignLink Live, said: “We launched SignLink Live with the aim of educating and inspiring visitors in regard to new diversification avenues, and by securing these three exhibitors, we are well on track to achieve exactly this. Horizon Group, Nova Aluminium and SignTrade all offer something that could help attendees identify and access business in new sectors.

What is unique about SignLink Live is that exhibitors will not have to compete for footfall with wide-format print companies, as they would at other industry events

“What is unique about SignLink Live is that exhibitors will not have to compete for footfall with wide-format print companies, as they would at other industry events.

“Wide-format print will feature heavily next door at sister event The Print Show and visitors will be able to catch up on all the latest developments in this area of the market there. However, SignLink Live will only focus on sign-making and the many technologies related to this sector, so visitors can be assured that their needs will be catered for.

“With less than six months to go until the show opens, floorspace is filling up fast and our special educational and entertainment areas are well-advanced in their planning and implementation. SignLink Live will be the must-attend, UK-focused event for the sign industry in 2017.”

Horizon Group is an award-winning solutions provider with major experience in the build, supply and installation of signage, furniture, fittings, and equipment to the public and private sector. The company is made up of five divisions, but the one that likely to be of most interest to visitors at SignLink Live is Horizon Signs, which focuses on trade signage solutions.

Horizon Signs is able to offer solutions such as poster cases, light boxes, pavement stands, wall mounted displays, information displays and digital hardware, all of which feature heavily in various types of sign-making work. This division of Horizon Group has a client base that spans sign manufacturing businesses of varying sizes right, through to leading blue chip organisations, local authorities and transport providers.

Meanwhile, Nova Aluminium prides itself on operating as a trade-only supplier of quality aluminium extruded systems. Although only incorporated in 2005, the company has experience in the design and production of aluminium systems that dates back to the early 1970s.

Nova’s portfolio of products stretches across forecourt applications, transport solutions, high street and commercial offerings, as well as a bespoke service. The company is also able to offer sign-related solutions such as lightboxes and frames, flexface systems, overhead lighting and wayfinding solutions. Nova will showcase a number of these products at SignLink Live and will have experts on hand to talk visitors through how they company can support their businesses.

I think the show will be very important to the UK market as it looks to cover all aspects of sign-making

SignTrade Letters completes the hat-trick of new singings and will use its presence at the inaugural event this year to show off its expertise in sign letters and related products. The company has established itself as one of the leading providers of sign letters in the UK market, with the ability to also support the industry with curved sign dishes to the specifications of individual customers, LED lighting to complement its signs, as well as sign trays.

SignTrade also has a close working relationship with leading acrylic fabricator Talbot Designs and, as such, is able to offer a wide range of additional services such as vacuum-forming, bespoke fabrication and general expertise in the field of plastics.

Meanwhile, power conversion specialist PowerPax, which signed up to the show earlier this year, has spoken out in support of SignLink Live and encouraged the UK industry to get behind the inaugural show. Lee Allen, managing director at the company, said that he is “very excited” to be part of the event and is looking forward to showing off various solutions from PowerPax.

Signlink Live looks to adopt a broader, more forward thinking approach and go beyond looking to showcase the same companies in the same way

Allen said: “I think the show will be very important to the UK market as it looks to cover all aspects of sign-making. Many trade shows have become fairly one dimensional, being largely dominated by the biggest companies all offering the same kind of solutions and as such these type of events can become fairly mundane.

“Signlink Live looks to adopt a broader, more forward thinking approach and go beyond looking to showcase the same companies in the same way. This is why we have decided to partner with them in showcasing the PowerPax core LED drivers, LED strip and LED module ranges.

“With its industry-wide reach, SignLink Live 2017 will provide the perfect platform for us to showcase our new ranges of LED Strip lighting and LED Modules, as well as the extended range of ultra slim 12vdc and 24vdc constant voltage drivers which carry a warranty up to five years and meet latest safety and efficiency legislation. The new super thin LED drivers are available as both standard and waterproof options.”
