EFI executive brands Drupa 2016 ‘one of the best’

Frank Mallozzi, senior vice-president, worldwide sales and marketing at EFI, has paid tribute to the organisers of this year’s Drupa, hailing the show as “one of the best”

EFI reported a strong interest in many of its products throughout the event

EFI enjoyed another heavy presence at the global event this year, using its stand to showcase a whole range of solutions for throughout the production process.

Speaking to SignLink about its attendance at the show, Mallozzi says that it is this product range that makes EFI such a popular stop at events like Drupa, with visitors to its stand able to look at products for all areas of the business.

“We've got a whole array of technologies, from frontend workflow, to software, to multiple technologies, you can see a vast array of solutions,” Mallozzi says.

“Whether it is corrugated or if you are printing vinyl banners, we have all the solutions; it’s really hard to conceptualise, so you have to have a look at see the ecosystem that exists.

One key new product that now forms part of this expansive range is the Nozomi, single-pass, inkjet printer that has been developed for the corrugated, packaging and folding markets.

Focusing on this solution in particular, Mallozzi hailed the Nozomi as the most exciting piece of kit on show at the EFI stand this year, with plenty of visitors interested in its capabilities.

“This is a product we were quite surprised with the reception from the market and our customers, and the specifications have been overwhelming, he says.

“It’s one of the first products to hit the market at the production speeds.

“The real exciting part was connecting it to the ecosystem in our stand. 

“We are showing software technology and MIS systems that enable a packaging company to embrace everything from ecommerce and web-to-print, to scheduling and estimating.”
