Agfa to storm Sign and Digital with Mira force

Following the glitzy launch of its brand new inkjet technology in 2015 and a rash of sales across Europe, Agfa has revealed that this year’s Sign and Digital UK will see it showcase its award-winning six-colour Jeti Mira true flatbed.

“Sign and Digital represents a major opportunity to show our latest inkjet systems to a UK and Irish audience,” says Steve Collins, marketing manager, Agfa Graphics UK and Ireland.

With the exhibition kicking off on April 19th and running for another two days, the specification of the technology on show will be the Jeti Mira 2716 HS featuring white ink plus a primer channel. Agfa will also demonstrate another key feature of the technology, which widens its application scope significantly.

Collins continues: “This year is extra special with the first UK showing of our very popular Jeti Mira with its dockable roll-to-roll system. The Jeti Mira will allow us to demonstrate applications ranging from posters, signage, exhibition graphics and POP displays to niche applications such as DVDs, wood, art reproductions, personalized objects and more,"

The Jeti Mira is available in two table models, the MG 2716 (2.69 x 1.6 m) and the MG 2732 (2.69 x 3.2 m). Both are capable of print speeds up to 206sq m/h and feature Agfa’s sophisticated Print and Prepare system, which enables loading of media on one side of the table while the other side is still printing. “This significantly reduces idle time for maximum productivity,” explains Collins.

Another key headline grabbing factor about Agfa’s flatbed technology is that it utilises the multi-national’s Think Ink Layer Technology, which means that its running costs are significantly reduced in the long-term when compared to its competitors, with no loss of colour vibrancy, durability, or quality.
